5 Jim Harbaugh replacements Michigan needs if he leaves for the NFL

Matt Campbell could leave Iowa State for a marquee job like this in the Big Ten
Entering this past season, Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell was a marquee candidate for several big jobs. However, the Cyclones regressed massively upon losing star players like Breece Hall and Brock Purdy to the 2022 NFL Draft. The Cyclones failed to make it to a bowl game, but I don’t think that really matters. Campbell will stay in Ames until the right Big Ten jobs opens up.
With Luke Fickell taking over at Wisconsin and Matt Rhule going to Nebraska, those are two strong candidates Campbell would not have to compete against should the Michigan job become available. Over the last half decade, Campbell has made Iowa State, a traditional bottom-feeder in the Big 12, a perennial bowl team that pushes for top-25 inclusion in most years. He would thrive.
If offered the job, it is hard to envision Campbell not carrying his lunch pail mentality into Michigan.
This would be the one job Todd Monken would leave his OC post at Georgia for
As a Georgia alum, I have accepted the fact that Dawgs offensive coordinator Todd Monken may eventually leave. I thought he would have been a fantastic fit at Purdue, but the Boilermakers made a tremendous hire in prying Ryan Walters away from regional rival Illinois. However, Monken might be exactly what Michigan is looking for if Harbaugh were to leave for the NFL this offseason.
Monken has totally reinvented himself at Georgia. He runs one of the most creative and intricate offenses in college football. We know he can recruit and has immense buy-in and respect from his players. If Monken were to go to Michigan, J.J. McCarthy would be a serious Heisman Trophy contender right away. The Wolverines could three-peat in the Big Ten, maybe win a playoff game?
It would be a huge blow for Georgia to lose Monken, but the Dawgs do have Mike Bobo on staff…
