Best Aaron Rodgers backup plans for Packers: Lamar Jackson

This one seems crazy since the Baltimore Ravens don’t really have a backup plan to Jackson, and it’s become more evident after his injury this season. However, the Ravens might not want to go into Russell Wilson/Kyler Murray territory with Jackson. That is what Jackson will want, and he might not want to play ball on a franchise tag.

The current franchise tag is set to pay a QB north of $45 million. That could change, but it’s going to be in that range. The Ravens aren’t known for spending huge like that. With how the contract negotiations went so far and the fact Jackson represents himself makes this a disaster waiting to happen.

What if the Packers are looking to get a superstar to replace their current superstar? Rodgers and Jackson secured the last three MVP trophies. Matt LaFleur will love the creativity he could have with Jackson under center. Can you imagine what he could do with Jackson, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon?

Jackson is also used to playing with a strange collection of wide receivers. Christian Watson would be a dream scenario if he were in Baltimore. He can get the best out of an offense, and it would be a dream, although unlikely, scenario for Green Bay.
