Stetson Bennett IV already said Broderick Jones is “the best tackle in the draft”

Although Broderick Jones is only a redshirt sophomore, the opportunity to be a first-round pick is too good to pass up. Given how dominant Georgia was in the national championship game vs. TCU, Jones’ draft stock will continue to rise. While he may not crack the top five like former Dawgs star Andrew Thomas did before him, Jones has the potential to be the first offensive tackle selected.

Of course, he will have to crush it at the NFL Scouting Combine to prove he should be the first bookend taken over the likes of Northwestern’s Peter Skoronski and Ohio State’s Paris Johnson Jr. However, let the film speak for itself. Jones has flourished in his expanded role along the Georgia offensive line. Being the starting left tackle on a repeat national champion cannot be overlooked.

Todd Monken knows what he is doing by putting his offensive linemen in positions to succeed.

Georgia replacement for Broderick Jones: Amarius Mims

This just isn’t even fair, y’all. Georgia’s swing tackle this past season had been sophomore Amarius Mims. While Jones and right tackle Warren McClendon are draft eligible, Mims will have a tremendous opportunity ahead of him in his third college season. He will play a huge part in Carson Beck getting all he can out of his talent taking over for Stetson Bennett IV at quarterback.

Georgia’s offensive line may be taking a big hit, but it has plenty of time to find the right front five.
