Saints that will improve in 2023: Alvin Kamara, RB

When you think of the New Orleans Saints, one name that always comes to mind is Alvin Kamara, the franchise’s do-everything running back. However, the 2022 season was not kind to Kamara, as he managed to appear in only 14 games, making 12 starts, and failed to reach the 800-yard mark on the ground.

Kamara also saw his production in the passing attack fade a bit this past season, as he hauled in only 57 passes, the second-lowest total of his career. All told, Kamara found the end zone either on the ground or through the air only four times during the entire NFL season, something that cannot happen again in 2023 if New Orleans looks to reverse their fortunes.

Kamara has been a bonafide NFL star since entering the league out of Tennessee as a third-round pick back in 2017. His production had a major dropoff in 2022, but with more stability at quarterback, and another season under his belt as head coach by Dennis Allen, you can expect Kamara to go back to being the Swiss Army knife he has proven to be his entire career next season.
