Saints that will improve in 2023: Chris Olave, WR

With the No. 11 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints selected Ohio State star wide receiver, Chris Olave. Making an instant impact as a rookie, Olave hauled in 72 passes in Year 1, racking up over 1,000 receiving yards, and found the end zone four times through the air.

While those numbers are certainly impressive and should garner him, Rookie of the Year votes, this is just the beginning for Olave. Playing alongside a veteran like Michael Thomas is only going to help him in his development, and in 2023, if he can stay healthy, Olave should crack the 100-catch mark, and find the end zone more than just four times.

Saints that will improve in 2023: Kaden Elliss, LB

A seven-win season is never a good thing for an NFL team, but that does not mean that the Saints did not have some bright spots along the way. One such bright spot was linebacker Kaden Elliss, who came out of nowhere to put together a seven-sack season and establish himself as a legitimate starter at the NFL level.

Going into 2023, Elliss is just entering his prime and will be a key cog on a defense that will be looking to revamp on all three levels. Elliss is a former seventh-round pick, selected in a spot that does not garner a lot of expectations, but with the way he stepped in when Pete Werner was injured, you can be sure he is a free-agent priority this offseason.
