Packers offseason move to make if Aaron Rodgers stays, No. 1: Sign Odell Beckham Jr.

Green Bay went through some struggles in terms of their passing attack. They did see some promise for their future, most notably rookie Christian Watson. However, they still have a massive need at the position to fill the huge void left by Davante Adams.

As noted earlier, the Packers don’t have all of the cap space to make a huge splash. So that would rule out signing JuJu Smith-Schuster or trading for DeAndre Hopkins. One of their best targets could very well be Odell Beckham Jr., who would be a top option in free agency and won’t cost too much for the Packers.

Beckham didn’t play for the entirety of the 2022 season after tearing his ACL in Super Bowl 56. Although he did go on a free agency tour to visit the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants, he never received a deal. So, he enters another offseason looking to sign on with an NFL team.

If Beckham’s knee is deemed to be okay for the upcoming season, the Packers could stand to bring him in to not only give Rodgers an option to target downfield, but also open things up for Watson and other receivers on the depth chart.
