Sam Hartman transferred over from Wake Forest, poised to make some noise

It may be a new school for him, but Sam Hartman did seemingly everything he could while quarterbacking the Wake Forest Demon Deacons for half a decade or so. Sure, he came up one game shy of winning an ACC Championship, but this is Wake Forest. More importantly, he overcame major health issues in the season to follow, further proving just how tough a guy he is.

Now that Hartman has transferred over to Notre Dame, he can actually contend for a College Football Playoff berth. Notre Dame is not a favorite to make the final four-team field by any means, but the Fighting Irish have made it in twice before and he is the most accomplished quarterback to play for them since Brady Quinn, or at least since Ian Book. Hartman can ball, y’all!

This is a huge step up in national profile for Hartman, one he can use to his advantage to climb up draft boards. There is nothing he has not seen from the quarterback position before in college. Though he leaves Winston-Salem a legend, Hartman’s collegiate legacy has one final chapter left to be written. If he wins 10-to-11 games or more at Notre Dame, everyone will know his name.

This is a big opportunity for Hartman, so you better believe he will be taking full advantage of it.
