Breanna Stewart may have broken the internet when she tweeted/announced that she would be signing with the New York Liberty.

A few days after Stewart announced her selection of the Liberty, Vandersloot also announced that she would be signing with the franchise as well.

Stewie signing with the Liberty is a game changer as the team recently acquired Jonquel Jones.

The Liberty’s big three could possibly start the conversation of a dynasty because of their skill sets fitting and the youthful roster that they have which includes Sabrina Ionescu.

New York has a big three that can beat anybody whether it’s in the paint or outside at the perimeter. Stewart is a generational talent that can score in from three, mid-range, or in the post.

Not to mention, the UCONN product is a strong leader with a high basketball high IQ. She has the opportunity to help the Liberty win their first championship in franchise history.

The Liberty have won three conference titles but fell to the Houston Comments in 1997, 1999, and 2000.

Stewie and Vandersloot will be able to bring that championship experience to this franchise. Get ready for a New York state of mind in 2023.
