If Aaron Rodgers returns to the Green Bay Packers in 2023, what would it mean for the three biggest dominos to fall after?

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is done with his darkness retreat. The details of that are as weird as you might expect.

Now that he has emerged from his hibernation cave, or chamber, or whatever you want to call it, the world can resume spinning, and decisions about things related to football can start happening.

There have been some conflicting reports on the Packers’ perception of Rodgers headed into the meat of the 2023 offseason. Early reports suggest that the Packers want Rodgers to come back for one more season, and others suggested they want to trade him.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, and that they’re relatively indifferent. If he comes back, they can ostensibly remain competitive for another season. If he leaves, they can pivot toward Jordan Love and a new era entirely. Either scenario is OK at worst.

There are basically three outcomes of the Aaron Rodgers situation:

  1. Aaron Rodgers comes back to play for the Packers in 2023
  2. Aaron Rodgers requests a trade and plays for the Jets, Raiders or a sleeper team in need of a quarterback in 2023
  3. Aaron Rodgers retires

But today, let’s assume he will come back to play. How does that impact three important areas of fallout? Let’s look at how his return to Green Bay in 2023 would impact Jordan Love, the Jets, and the Raiders.
