Philadelphia 76ers vs. Dallas Mavericks

Game Pace: This game features two teams that are in the bottom four of the league for pace and has a Vegas game total of 228.

Injuries: Joel Embiid sat out last night’s game against the Heat but should return tonight for the second game of the back-to-back. Dewayne Dedmon is out for the Sixers and Davis Bertans is out for the Mavs.

Top Picks: This game features four of the highest-scoring Draft Kings NBA DFS players. Let’s talk about Luka. Since Kyrie Irving joined the team on Feb. 8, Luka has played in six games. His highest total during that span was 64 DKFP against Denver, but Kyrie didn’t play in that game. Are the days of Luka going nuclear over due to Kyrie? It’s looking that way. Both players will almost always get you 5-6x value, but Luka might not get those 80-100 DKFP games he had earlier in the year.

Give me the big dude tonight and almost every night. Joel Embiid is just a DFS machine. He’s expected back tonight and if he plays I’ll have him as an anchor in some lineups. The Mavs have major problems on the boards and I look for Embiid to have a huge game. Expect 35 and 15 from Embiid if he plays.

Value Picks: Paul Reed stepped up with Embiid out last night putting up 16 and 14 for a total of 39 DKFP. If Embiid is out Reed will be highly owned at a salary of just $3300. Tyrese Maxey at $4900 is intriguing. He scores off the bench but doesn’t add much in other categories. But tonight is all about the big four. The Sixers and Mavs role/bench players just don’t get the necessary usage to hit value on most nights. Christian Wood has a high ceiling but hasn’t played 30+ minutes in a game since January.
