1. Cowboys rumors: A Jalen Ramsey trade is the biggest move available

The fact of the matter is that the Cowboys don’t need a wide receiver in the same way that they need stability at cornerback. Trevon Diggs plays his role in Dan Quinn’s defense exceptionally well — even if it brings on criticism for his overall coverage ability at times. Anthony Brown has been good too but he’s dealt with injuries and is scheduled to hit free agency.

More importantly, though, the depth was tested in the 2022 season and was left wanting. Kelvin Joseph has not developed as planned and Nahshon Wright remains a good special teams player who has not become usable on defense consistently. This is a place where the Cowboys need to make a splash.

Lucky for them, the writing appears to be on the wall that the Rams are going to move on from Jalen Ramsey. His cap hit is enormous and the team is entering something similar to a rebuild or at least a restructure. That means they could be desperate to recoup some draft picks, which could make a trade quite cheap.

The Cowboys could’ve had Jalen Ramsey as a rookie but chose to draft Ezekiel Elliott instead back in 2016. Now they can rectify that mistake and solidify their cornerback room in a major way, especially if they work to lock up Diggs soon as well.
