3. Letting Miles Sanders walk could open the door for an Eagles Derrick Henry trade

The list of pending free agents for the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason could comprise the start of a nice expansion franchise roster when you look at it. Alongside the likes of Fletcher Cox, Jason Kelce, Brandon Grahm, James Bradberry and many more, though, is running back Miles Sanders, who has been in Philly since he was drafted. Boston Scott, meanwhile, is also slated to hit the market.

Given that he was already splitting some time with Sanders, it’s clear that the team is high on Kenneth Gainwell. At the same time, though, is that really where the team wants to put its entire stock of the running game into, aside from Jalen Hurts, of course?

My guess would be no. And if the team is looking to make a splash this offseason after representing the NFC in the Super Bowl this past season, then trading for Derrick Henry would be a good way to go about it. Henry would slot in behind one of the best offensive lines in football while also having Hurts to help open up more room for him.

Philadelphia already knows how trade talks with the Titans can go after dealing for A.J. Brown last offseason. So it would be an easy bridge to cross over if they want to replace Sanders with a better running back on the trade market this offseason.
