NFL Rumors: DeAndre Hopkins wants Cowboys to “talk” to him

Arizona Cardinals’ DeAndre Hopkins has been rumored to be on the trading block ever since head coach Jonathan Gannon spoke ambiguously about his future. A talented albeit injury-prone and aging wide receiver like Hopkins should have no shortage of suitors this offseason, especially given his relatively cheap projected compensation of a second-round pick and a conditional pick.

The Kansas City Chiefs may be his most likely destination, but what about America’s Favorite Team?

Hopkins joined Dez Bryant on a live stream to tell viewers that he was currently in Dallas. He said that he kept hearing Dallas “say his name” and just wanted them to “talk” to him.

If we were Jerry Jones, making a trade for Hopkins feels almost too easy. The Dallas Cowboys could keep their late first-rounder in the 2023 NFL Draft while equipping Dak Prescott with a savvy and experienced outside target, one that recorded 717 yards in nine games last season and showcased his explosive speed and ball skills as a No. 1 wide receiver.

A wideout room of Hopkins, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup? That ought to get the team some more playoff wins in the future. Talk to Hopkins, Dallas. He’s waiting on you.
