The 2022-2023 PHF Playoffs are nearly here and the location of the championship game has been announced.

As the conclusion of the eighth season of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) inches closer, attention is beginning to turn toward the PHF Playoffs.

Game 1 in the hunt for the Isobel Cup is set to begin on Thursday, March 16 at the Bentley Arena in Boston.

During the regular season, the Montreal Force were added to the league as an expansion team, the schedule was expanded to 84 games, and there were breakout performances from players on all of the teams in the sport.

The Boston Pride (18-3-1) and Toronto Six (16-4-2) dominated the regular season and have already secured the top two seeds in the playoffs.

Offensive standouts on the year include Loren Gabel and Corinne Schroeder, both from Boston. Gabel, the team’s primary forward, essentially has the MVP Award in the bag already, while Schroeder, the team’s goaltender, has been far and away the best in the entire league this year.

PHF: Venue for the 2023 Isobel Cup Championship Game has been announced

In a recent announcement, the league revealed that this year’s Isobel Cup Championship Game will take place in Phoenix, Arizona at the Mullett Arena.

The venue name may sound familiar to some, as this is also the home of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes.

With Gabel and Schroeder in tow, the Pride feel like the easy favorites to win it all this year. The club won the 2021-2022 championship as well, so there’s no reason to suggest that they can’t make it two in a row in Phoenix. Notably, the PHF and the Arizona Kachinas Girls Hockey Association will pair up and host activities for the local youth on the weekend of the championship.

This year’s Championship Game will take place on Sunday, March 26 and is set to begin airing on ESPN2 (USA) and TSN (Canada) at 9:00 p.m. ET.
