1. Broncos trade partner for any wide receiver: New York Jets

The New York Jets are vying for Aaron Rodgers, and understandably, they’re also looking to pair him with high-caliber wide receivers. Rodgers reportedly put out his own “wish list” of wide receivers, which includes three former Packers in free agency and Odell Beckham Jr.

The Jets are abiding by the wish list so far with the recent signing of free-agent wide receiver Allen Lazard. The team also reportedly attended a workout to survey Beckham Jr.

The Jets may or may not be able to meet all of Rodgers’ demands, and if not, they could at least try to sell the veteran quarterback on a trade with the Denver Broncos. Payton has traded with the Jets in the past, and there’s also an obvious tie between Nathaniel Hackett and his former employer.

Having worked with both Rodgers and the Broncos, Hackett could assess which wide receiver would make the most sense for the Jets at the moment and make a case for a trade. If the Jets strictly adhere to Rodgers’ wishes, it’ll be a Packers satellite team — but Courtland Sutton would be a serious upgrade over Randall Cobb or Marcedes Lewis. And if the Jets can’t land Beckham Jr., a Broncos wide receiver could be an amenable option instead.
