Masyn Winn will at least start the season in Memphis

Winn has had an incredible Spring Training. But, considering his position, he will likely start the 2023 season in the minor leagues to get some playing time in.

With Tommy Edman playing in the World Baseball Classic and Paul DeJong struggling, Winn could have plenty of playing time and stand out. He played in 17 games. He compiled a .314/.368/.510 with an OPS of .878. He had 16 hits, two doubles, one triple, two home runs, four stolen bases, and nine RBI. He does have 13 strikeouts.

Winn is 21 and has a bright future. He would be better suited starting in the minor leagues to get playing time and at-bats. In St. Louis, he could be a backup middle infielder to Tommy Edman, Brendan Donovan, or Nolan Gorman. He could also be a designated hitter, but you don’t want to lose out on his tremendous defense. Winn brings a variety of options. While he will likely be called up later this year or next, he would get more playing time in the minor leagues this season.
