2023 NFL Draft: Full two-round mock after early free agency waves
The Jacksonville Jaguars are certainly a team to watch heading into next season, as Trevor Lawrence got his team to the Divisional Round in only his second season as the starting quarterback. In fact, it was more like a rookie season for No. 16 last year, as the team moved on from Urban Meyer, and brought in a capable head coach in Doug Pederson.
While the Jaguars do have a good running back in Travis Etienne, bringing in a swiss army knife like Jahmyr Gibbs from Alabama could take this offense to the next level. Gibbs can be a real threat in the passing game, on the ground, and as a return man, and stacking as many weapons as possible for Lawrence is a good way to go.
The New York Giants have been making some big-time moves this offseason, adding some talented weapons around quarterback Daniel Jones. Last season, Jones had a breakout year despite having very little to pass to, but that will change in 2023 with the addition of tight end Darren Waller, and wide receiver Parris Campbell.
Now, we focus on the defensive side of the ball, and the Giants still need some help in the defensive backfield. Clark Phillips III is a bonafide first-round talent at the cornerback position, and New York is in a prime position to make a serious run in the NFC next season.
