NFL Draft rumors: Anthony Richardson’s draft stock might be falling
While throughout most of the draft process, the first two quarterbacks expected to come off the board this spring are Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud. They are probably going one-two and neither should be available past the Indianapolis Colts picking at No. 4. However, there has been some debate as to who will be this year’s QB3. It may not be Anthony Richardson.
According to DraftKings, Kentucky’s Will Levis is -120 of being the third quarterback taken, while Richardson is coming in at +115. Admittedly, this is not a huge margin, but I think it is indicative of where the Colts could be leaning at No. 4. They are about as early as Levis could be coming off the board. Richardson could go as high as No. 1 to the Carolina Panthers, but let’s not count on that.
Frankly, I don’t think Richardson makes it past the Las Vegas Raiders picking at No. 7. He is a high-upside player worth potentially trading up for, so keep an eye on teams picking below the Silver and Black to make their move. What is telling in DraftKings’ odds are the Colts just might take Levis to set the rest of Thursday night in Kansas City in blazing dumpster fire of absolute glory.
Five quarterbacks will be taken in the first round, but who’s coming off the board third is intriguing.
