Brodric Martin could be key defensive line depth in Green Bay

After taking Devonte Wyatt in the first round last year, Green Bay does have some studs on the defensive line with him and Kenny Clark. However, they could use some depth and competition at the nose tackle spot where 2021 fifth-round pick T.J. Slayton is slated to start. That’s where Brodric Martin could come into the mix.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder started to put things together last year as a power rusher and has been compared to a “poor man’s Jordan Davis”. With some development, he could be a usable depth piece in the trenches in year one.

Pick Analysis. WR. Jalen Moreno-Cropper. player. 49. Scouting Report. Fresno State. 5

The Packers know a thing or two about stud WRs from Fresno State

Once upon a time, Green Bay was able to land one of the eventual best wide receivers in the league on Day 2 out of Fresno State. That, of course, was Davante Adams. Jalen Moreno-Cropper isn’t the same level of prospect, but he could be a nice addition to the receiver room.

At 5-foot-11, 172 pounds, Moreno-Cropper needs to bulk up a bit. But that should be doable given that he wins with precise footwork and route-running and not speed or overt athleticism. He could be a nice possession option in big wide receiver sets as he gets in an NFL strength program.

49. Braeden Daniels. 5. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. Utah

Tackle depth is needed for the Packers and Braden Daniels has value

The recent uncertainty around All-Pro-caliber offensive tackle David Bakhtiari does bring some question marks at the position moving forward. However, if the trade with the 49ers happens, it’s hard to think that Bakhtiari won’t remain in Green Bay, which lessens the need.

Even still, behind Zach Tom and Bakhtiari, the Packers are a bit thin at tackle. Subsequently, they could stand to take a swing on someone like Braden Daniels. He was a consistently solid performer for Utah in his college career and, while he might not be a star, he could be a plug-in backup that could serve a huge purpose for Green Bay.
