Cowboys Draft Grades for Viliami Fehoko: B+

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m biased here in the fact that Viliami Fehoko was one of my favorite Day 3 prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft. So even if the fourth round might’ve been a bit early for where he should’ve been drafted, I love the player and think he fits quite well in Dallas.

The Cowboys have DeMarcus Lawrence, Micah Parsons and Sam Williams on the edge already but Fehoko comes in as another power rusher who is strong on the edge and can play some bully ball, both as a pass-rusher and run defender. His stoutness against the run is a great asset for him to see playing time right away on early downs.

Fehoko probably has limited upside as he’s not a traits guy, but he’s another player who will help the Cowboys defense, which is the basis of what teams should look for early on Day 3.

5. player. 123. Pick Analysis. OL. Scouting Report. North Carolina. Asim Richards

Cowboys Draft Grades for Asim Richards: B

There wasn’t a need for a starter on the Cowboys offensive line but they certainly needed a bit more depth and, more pressingly, a developmental player who could potentially be the swing tackle for the next few years. Asim Richards is the perfect pick in this range to fill that void.

Richards was a tackle at UNC and plays with a real edge in the run game. He projects more as a guard given a lack of length and overall mobility but his experience on the outside should allow him to get reps out there so Dallas can see what he’s capable of there.

Landing a piece with potential inside-out versatility as a depth option on a still-good Cowboys offensive line is a great pickup for this franchise in the fifth round.
