NFL Power Rankings 2023, Post-NFL Draft: No. 9-7

. . Detroit Lions. 9. team. 50.

The team is coming off its first winning campaign since 2017. It was a solid offseason for GM Brad Holmes, who added cornerbacks Cameron Sutton (Steelers) and Emmanuel Moseley (49ers) and used a second-round pick on versatile defensive back Brian Branch (Alabama). The first-round addition of University of Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs made D’Andre Swift expendable and he was traded to the Eagles.

42. . . . San Francisco 49ers. 8. team

It’s a team that has been in the NFC championship game two straight years and three of the past four seasons. However, the 49ers enter 2023 with a lot of uncertainty at quarterback. Jimmy Garoppolo is now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders. Trey Lance is reportedly on the trading clock and 2022 Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy is on the mend. Could Sam Darnold be the Week 1 starter for Kyle Shanahan’s talented club?

. Jacksonville Jaguars. 7. team. 52. .

The defending AFC South champions were pretty quiet when it came to obtaining veteran talent this offseason. However, general manager Trent Baalke was pretty busy during the draft and when it was all said and done, the club selected 13 players. The club’s first three picks were all offensive selections. The Jaguars drafted 10 players in the final four rounds, and seven were on the defensive side of the ball.
