Today’s USMNT news includes rumors on Tyler Adams’ next club, Cameron Carter-Vickers’ injury and Christian Pulisic was left out of Chelsea’s squad for their defeat to Arsenal.

USMNT news: Tyler Adams’ transfer rumors

Tyler Adams has been one of Leeds United’s best performers since he arrived from RB Leipzig last year. However, he has not been featured in the club’s last eight games due to a hamstring injury.  Leeds have now not won in their last five matches and sit just one place above the relegation zone.

With the club in serious danger of being relegated, Javi Gracia who replaced Jesse Marsch as manager has today been sacked. Sam Allardyce has been put in charge until the end of the season. If they were to go down then Leeds will have to sell many of their best players which would include Adams.

According to MLS Transfers “Sevilla and Hoffenheim are currently the most interested clubs in Tyler Adams should Leeds be relegated. His preference is to stay in England. Arsenal and Newcastle monitoring the situation while both Inter and Milan have reached out to Leeds around the World Cup.”

A move to Hoffenheim would be interesting as Pellegrino Matarazzo is their manager. Matarazzo is an American and someone who could one day be the head coach of the USMNT. The Bundesliga side also has USMNT player John Brooks in their ranks.

Moving to Sevilla would be an opportunity for Adams to play in a different league and that would be the same if he was to move to one of the Milan clubs. Transferring to Arsenal seems unlikely, especially with the Gunners looking to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United this summer. However, Newcastle could be a good option but would still face tough competition in their midfield.

USMNT news: Cameron Carter-Vickers injury

Cameron Carter-Vickers who has been on fine form for Celtic this season may be out for an extended period of time. SBI has reported that “Carter-Vickers is set to miss 3-4 months following knee surgery, a source close to the player confirmed to SBI. Carter-Vickers had been fighting through a knee injury during the second half of the season and was expected to head for surgery following Sunday’s Scottish Cup semifinal match.”

He will miss the remainder of Celtic’s fixtures this season but they should still have the Scottish Premiership wrapped up as they currently lead Rangers by 13 points. His injury is also a blow for the USMNT as he will miss Nations League fixtures and the Gold Cup.

USMNT news: Christian Pulisic left out

Christian Pulisic has been left on the bench by Frank Lampard recently but for Chelsea’s match against Arsenal last night he was not in the squad entirely. The Blues lost 3-1 and their season has gone from bad to worse as they are now 12th in the Premier League.

The American could be given a lifeline at the club as Mauricio Pochettino is expected to take charge in the summer. However, after having limited game time under multiple managers at the club it could be the right time to move on.
