The Atlanta Braves are still most definitely winning the World Series year. Sawry, not sawry…

With the Atlanta Braves taking two of three from the Texas Rangers in Arlington and the first of a three-game home series vs. the Seattle Mariners, let me tell you what is up with this franchise…

To our most humble readers, I am sure you have seen some of these rumor things popping off of late a bit. Well, I am a Braves fan, through and through, so I will always promise to give it to you straight. I don’t know a ton about the other 29 teams, or particularly care to, because this is the only team that matters, and that’s why you’re reading this. So are you ready for a good time, y’all?

Here are three Braves rumors that need a little bit more “expertise” to be fully understood.

Braves Rumors: Atlanta recalls Dansby Swanson lookalike Charlie Culberson .. again!

Your poor eyesight may tell you otherwise, but no, that is not Dansby Swanson out at shortstop. His older brother doppelgänger Charlie Culberson is somehow back with the team again and doing things at the Major League level. He replaces infielder Ehire Adrianza on the 25-man roster, as that other guy in the Atlanta infield was placed on the 60-day IL with a left shoulder strain Friday.

I don’t really understand why the Atlanta brass fought so hard to have Adrianza on the team when I don’t even really remember him playing this season. Oh yeah, I remember him over the last two seasons, but we’ve mostly gotten to see Orlando Magic at shortstop with some high-school-inspired defense out of Vaughn Grissom in between. I get that Culberson is a veteran, but okay!

With Braden Shewmake’s brief tenure with the Atlanta club being totally forgettable, I guess the Braves wanted to see if that good, ole Charlie Culberson clutch gene was still there. Besides his epic flow and salacious beard combo, his ability to thrive in winning time is why Braves Country still views him favorably. As for Adrianza, thank you for keeping somebody else’s seat warm, man.

I, for one, would love nothing more than for Atlanta to get healthy and stop hitting the IL so hard.
