Fans in eager to see the Pirates and Giants battle it out in the second game of their first series of the second-half of the season were foiled by the weather on Saturday.
Before Game 2 could get underway, the Pirates announced a rain delay.

No! The Giants and Pirates game was delayed but there appear to be no plans to postpone the game.
Giants-Pirates rain delay update: Start time after weather delay

At 7:09 p.m. ET, the Pirates announced Satuday’s game would be delayed. However, they were able to supply a new start time of 7:45 p.m.
That means players and fans shouldn’t have to wait too long for the action to get underway in Pittsburgh.
On Friday, the Pirates ended up disappointed because of a seventh-inning rally by the Giants.
Michael Conforto opened the scoring in the top of the fifth and was swiftly answered by Ji Man Choi’s home run to even things back up at 1-1. Then Jared Triolo scored on a balk as the Pirates took a lead.
The sixth inning brought runs for both sides as Brandon Crawford brought home a run on a groundout to shortstop before Choi played hero again with a sacrifice fly, tying it at 3-3.
Tucupita Marcano followed that up with another sacrifice fly to give Pittsburgh a 4-3 lead.
However, Patrick Bailey and Luis Matos each produced RBI singles in the top of the seventh, ultimately giving the Giants the victory, 6-4.
