Sunday’s game between the Mets and Dodgers was originally scheduled for 1:40 p.m. ET but the team moved it back to 5:10 p.m. ET in anticipation of rain. The wait apparently wasn’t enough with a further delay announced.

At 4:30 p.m. ET, the Mets announced that first pitch was now aimed at 5:30 p.m ET. That’s a 20-minute delay from the first pushed-back start time.
Mets and Dodgers fans can only hope the weather clears up enough to allow the 5:30 p.m. start time to remain.
In the meantime, New York will have to continue sitting with the frustration of the first two games.
Los Angeles pounced on the Mets in the first game of the series with a 6-0 victory to open the second half of the season. Things didn’t change much on Saturday as the Dodgers ran away with a 5-1 win.
It’ll be up to Max Scherzer to turn things around for the Mets while Bobby Miller works on the mound for the Dodgers hoping to keep things trending in their favor.
