Thursday Night Football is back in Week 2, but this week’s matchup between the New York Giants and Washington Football Team isn’t expected to be the shootout that Week 1 gave us between the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The oddsmakers at WynnBET Sportsbook have dropped the total for tonight’s game all the way down to 40.5, the lowest of the season to date, but that isn’t going to stop me from finding some value in a few player props in tonight’s game.

On Monday Night Football, I took Henry Ruggs III to go over 35.5 receiving yards, and while it took him until late in the fourth quarter, he did come through with a 37-yard grab that set up a Las Vegas Raiders’ score.

Here are three player props that I have my eye on in tonight’s matchup:

Antonio Gibson OVER 89.5 Combined Rushing and Receiving Yards (-116)

Antonio Gibson is one of the focal points of Washington’s offense, and he’s going to be more involved on Thursday night.

With Ryan Fitzpatrick out at quarterback due to injury and Taylor Heinicke replacing him, Gibson should be in line for another heavy dosage of touches after seeing 23 for 108 yards in the season opener.

The Washington running back isn’t listed on the injury report after missing practice time with a shoulder injury, and he actually surpassed this combined rushing and receiving total with just rushing yards (90) in Week 1.

The Giants gave up 165 rushing yards to the Denver Broncos in Week 1, and with Washington likely leaning on the running game more often than normal, I love Gibson’s chances of hitting the over on this prop.

Daniel Jones OVER 19.5 Passing Completions (-120)

I’m one of the first people to say that Daniel Jones can’t be a franchise quarterback, but this prop is far too low given his success against Washington in his career.

Jones is 4-0 against the Washington Football Team and 4-20 against everyone else as a starter, and he’s actually done a lot of it with his arm and not his legs.

Jones has completed 23-of-31, 28-of-42, 12-of-19 and 23-of-34 passes in his four games against Washington in his career. While the low total in this one suggests a defensive-oriented game, I also think the Giants will be trailing and will be forced to throw the ball a little more than they’d like.

In Week 1 in a similar post, Jones completed 22 of his 37 pass attempts. The third-year quarterback also completed 20 or more passes in nine of his 14 starts last season, and I think he will throw the ball enough to surpass the low number of 19.5.

Logan Ryan OVER 5.5 Tackles and Assists (+115)

That’s right, we’re getting into some defensive players today, as Logan Ryan impressed me in Week 1 against the Broncos.

The veteran safety posted eight solo tackles and two assists as well as a forced fumble that he also recovered.

Ryan is arguably the best player in the Giants’ secondary, and he has no problem making plays at the line of scrimmage (one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit in Week 1). Over his last 17 games, Ryan has recorded six or more tackles and assists in 10 games, and he’s only had fewer than four in two of those outings.

This should be a defensive game based on the total, and a lot of stops could be in order, allowing Ryan to pile up the stats. At +115 odds, I like his chances of hitting the over in this one.
