The NFC West is the best division in football and we should just accept that.

Not only did all four teams win in Week 1, but two of the quarterbacks -- Kyler Murray and Matthew Stafford -- put on shows.

Murray lit up the Titans and saw his odds to win MVP rise from +1800 to +1000. Stafford, on the other hand, jumped all the way to No. 2 in the odds standings from +1500, and is now +750 to win the award, according to WynnBET

Stafford’s rise not only puts him above Murray, but it puts pressure on Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs quarterback is +550 to win his second MVP. Mahomes is going to start out every year as the favorite to win MVP for the foreseeable future, but Stafford may be able to catch him.

The Rams are tied with the San Francisco 49ers to win the NFC West with +190 odds. Los Angeles looked like a potential juggernaut Sunday night. An offense that powerful, combined with a division crown, would be a great resume for Stafford.

Los Angeles traded away Jared Goff to go get Stafford, and it’s already paying off. Stafford finished the game with 321 yards and three touchdowns, showing the league that the Rams’ offense is back to being as explosive as it was when Sean McVay first got there.

Stafford looked great and the rest of the league needs to be on alert. If he keeps up this pace, expect the Rams to be dominant and contend for a Super Bowl.

As for the MVP race, Stafford is free from the shackles of Detroit and is certainly ready to show the rest of the quarterbacks what the bar is for the rest of the season.
