Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills took the next step in their progression as a contender in the AFC last season, winning the AFC East and making it to the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Allen set career-highs in passing yardage (4,544), completion percentage (69.2 percent), touchdowns (37), passer rating (107.2) and QBR (81.7). It was a massive leap from his second season in the NFL, and his outlook going forward has put the Bills in third in the odds to win the Super Bowl (+1200) at WynnBET

FanSided’s National NFL Insider Matt Lombardo polled NFL players, coaches, scouts and executives and Buffalo received the most votes (six) to win the Super Bowl this season.

“The Bills. Don’t sleep on this team,” one NFC head coach said. “They have the talent and the balance to get it done.”

It wasn’t just one head coach that spoke to Lombardo about Buffalo’s prowess, as an AFC South scout also had some feelings on who would win the Super Bowl.

“Buffalo against whoever Tom Brady plays for (the Tampa Bay Buccaneers),” an AFC South scout tells FanSided. “The Bills win that game.”

Buffalo returns a lot of its roster that went 13-3 last season, and it added wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to play opposite of Stefon Diggs this season.

In addition, first-round pick Gregory Rousseau had an impressive preseason and looks to be an impact player as an edge rusher this season.

Allen will need to prove that last year’s impressive performance is going to be the norm for him going forward if the Bills want to reach their Super Bowl ceiling, but it’s clear that the sentiment around the league is that Buffalo will compete with the league’s best in 2021.
