NFL Week 9 Survivor Picks
Pittsburgh Steelers
The New York Jets burned me in Week 8 by upsetting the Bengals, so I’m going to stay away from that primetime game and go to another, the Pittsburgh Steelers facing the Chicago Bears.
Pittsburgh has won three straight games and dominated the Cleveland Browns in Week 8 on the defensive side. I don’t love the Steeelers’ offense under Ben Roethlisberger, but I think T.J. Watt and company make things miserable for Justin Fields in primetime on Monday night. -- Peter Dewey
New Orleans Saints
I don't care who is starting at quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, they can beat this Atlanta Falcons team based on their defense alone. They're allowing the fourth fewest points per game at 18.3, which is a far cry from where the Falcons scoring defense ranks, which is 26th at 27.9.
If the Falcons couldn't beat the Panthers last week, then good luck to them against their other divisional rival. The Saints are six-point favorites and will win this game handedly. -- Iain MacMillan
Dallas Cowboys
Even with a backup quarterback, the Dallas Cowboys are the hottest team in the league. They beat the Minnesota Vikings with Cooper Rush as their quarterback and should be getting Dak Prescott back this week.
If he does play, I expect the Cowboys to take care of business easily. The Denver Broncos just snapped a three-game losing streak, but it was against the Washington Football Team. Denver can’t hang with Dallas’ offense and that’s the main reason why I’m backing the Cowboys this week. -- Donnavan Smoot
