Odell Beckham Jr. is listed as questionable for the Cleveland Brownsseason opener, but it appears that he’s trending in the right direction to play.

Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reported that all signs point to Beckham Jr. playing in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs even though head coach Kevin Stefanski was noncommittal on the star wideout’s status on Friday.

"Yeah, I think all the guys that are rehabbing from any injury, we make sure we follow the medical advice and go through the rehab process like that," Stefanski said. "So he's no different."

Stefanski did also mention that Odell hadn’t suffered any kind of a setback in his recovery from a torn ACL, but that the team wouldn’t make a decision on his status just yet.

"He was limited today, so we'll use the next 48 hours with all these guys and determine who's playing and who's not," Stefanski said. "We'll let you know 90 minutes before the game."

Having OBJ in the lineup would be a huge boost to Cleveland’s offense, especially in a game that the Browns are 5.5-point underdog at WynnBET. Cleveland is looking to avenge last season’s playoff loss to Kansas City, and Beckham Jr. certainly would give the Browns another elite weapon to keep up with Patrick Mahomes and company.

WynnBET has player props for Sunday’s game and Beckham Jr. is expected to be the team’s second-leading receiver behind Jarvis Landry. OBJ’s receiving yards prop is set at 50.5 with the over (-116) slightly favored to the under (-115). Landry’s prop is set at 57.5 yards with the under (-116) as a slight favorite.

Last season, Beckham Jr. appeared in seven games before missing the rest of the season with the torn ACL. He cleared the 50.5-yard mark in four of the six games he was able to finish, but he only brought in 23 of his 43 targets on the season.

Browns fans and bettors certainly would like to see that catch percentage rise in 2021, but if Beckham Jr. is healthy and not on a snap count, he could be worth taking in this prop. Oddsmakers are expecting a high-scoring affair with the total set at 54.5, so there should be plenty of chances for Odell to rack up receiving yards in his 2021 debut.
