Vegas Showing Broncos Respect After 2-0 Start

There are only two teams that remain undefeated in the AFC, and they both hail from the AFC West division. 

The Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders, not the Kansas City Chiefs, both have started this season 2-0, and Denver is getting some serious love from oddsmakers in the latest division and win total odds. 

The Broncos are projected to win 10.5 games at WynnBET Sportsbook with the over (-120) as the favorite to the under (+100). After going 5-11 in 2020, the Broncos are now favored to finish this season 11-6 after winning two road games to open 2021. Shoutout to Teddy Bridgewater!

Not only that, but the Broncos have passed the Los Angeles Chargers in the odds to win the AFC West. The Raiders haven’t seen the same love, but the Broncos certainly are inching closer and closer to being a playoff team in the eyes of oddsmakers.

Denver has taken full advantage of playing a last-place schedule this season, as it beat the New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars to start the year and has a mouth-watering matchup with the New York Jets in Week 3 at home. 

Denver is an overwhelming 10.5-point favorite against Zach Wilson and company, but the Broncos’ defense this year has been good enough for bettors to consider taking them to cover. Denver has allowed just 13 points in each of its first two games, and it intercepted Trevor Lawrence twice in Week 2. 

This has all come with star pass rusher Bradley Chubb missing most of the first two games with an ankle injury, and it may be why oddsmakers are so high on the Broncos. 

Bridgewater is 38-14 against the spread in his career, and he’s been one of the better quarterbacks in the league to open the season. 

The Broncos probably won’t steal the division from the Chiefs, but they are looking like a team that could earn a playoff spot in the AFC. Denver was +155 to make the playoffs entering the season.
