Chicago Bears 7-round 2024 NFL mock draft after disastrous start to season
By Sam Penix
Round 4, Pick 125 - Dorian Singer, WR, USC
If you're going to hand the keys of your franchise over to your new rookie first overall pick, giving him some familiarity may not be a bad idea. Singer transferred over from Arizona, where he averaged nearly 17 yards per reception, and has hauled in two touchdown passes from Williams thus far in 2023. Because of the talent around him now, Singer isn't going to put up the same numbers he did for the Wildcats, which may hurt his draft stock, but that talent hasn't gone anywhere.
Round 4, Pick 129 - Rod Moore, S, Michigan
This mock finishes out by nabbing Moore secondary depth with the junior out of Michigan, who picked off four passes last season. Injuries have limited him to just one game thus far in 2023, but expect the Wolverines' already stout defense to improve once Moore gets going again.
With this draft class, the Bears get the best quarterback prospect since Trevor Lawrence and give him some protection, a familiar target, and some defensive depth. Assuming the next front office and coaching staff regime aren't dysfunctional, the 2024 NFL Draft could be a dramatic turning point for a franchise that desperately needs it.
