For the first time in twenty years, Howie Long will not be working on Sunday as the Hall of Fame linebacker will be in St. Louis watching his sons play in an NFL game.

The matchup between the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Rams will feature the well known Chris Long and his younger brother, Bears rookie guard Kyle Long and not wanting to miss such a historic moment, Howie decided he needed to make the trip.

That leaves the Fox NFL Sunday panel a man short, so taking Long’s spot will be Fox Sports 1 analyst Randy Moss.

Moss, who had hoped to play in the NFL this year eventually had to take a job as an analyst with the network after he was unable to find a team willing to meet his playing and contractual demands. There were questions as to Moss’ ability to handle an analyst job, but he’s done incredibly well and should spice up the Fox NFL Sunday pre-game show.
