The New York Giants know they have a weakness at running back and it’s something they plan to solve this offseason, be it through free agency or the 2014 NFL Draft.

That’s the word from general manager Jerry Reese who has his eyes set on multiple tailbacks.

"With David Wilson attempting to return from neck surgery, the Giants also will be in the market for a running back. Reese expressed hope that Wilson will be fine, but he’s not taking any chances.“Obviously, we can’t put all our eggs in that basket,” he said. “We will continue to look for running backs in free agency and the draft as well.”"

While Wilson coming back is a plus for the Giants, they simply can’t assume he’ll be effective so the team needs to take alternative measures. One such idea would be to re-sign Andre Brown, but he’s also a heavy injury risk – though should come with a small price tag, so he could be worth the risk.

There is no word on who the Giants are looking at in the draft or free agency.
