Every young football player has someone that they look up to in the sport and likely a player that influences how they play the game. For Pittsburgh Steelers fourth-round pick Martavis Bryant, that player is a division rival.

More from Cincinnati Bengals

During a Q&A to help fans get to know Bryant off of the field better, Ben Roethlisberger’s new weapon stated that the player he models his game after is Cincinnati Bengals star A.J. Green.

“The person I really look up to and try to model my game after is A.J. Green,” the rookie receive told the Steelers official website. “How he is a man of the game, he is a dog in the NFL. I try to watch his highlights and do the stuff he does.”

Bryan, who checks in at 6-foot-4, has similar size to Green and that is a big reason why the Steelers drafted him this year.

The team was looking to get bigger on the outside especially to help them down in the red zone, and if Bryant can bring any of the skills that he learned from watching Green’s tape to the field for Pittsburgh their fourth-round investment will carry tremendous value.

Of course, looking up to and being able to emulate one of the top players at your position are completely different things.
