ICC results: Liverpool goes up 1-0 with Steven Gerrard PK (GIF)
Liverpool and Manchester United are currently playing in an enthralling match at the Guinness International Champions Cup final live on Fox Sports 1 from Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida. This match is the championship game of the tournament, and while it is considered a friendly, both teams are putting forth quite the effort.

After 12 minutes of back and forth action and missed opportunities, Liverpool was granted a penalty kick after Phil Jones took out Raheem Sterling in the box. Manchester United pleaded with the referee to try and avoid a penalty, but it was no use as the call had already been made.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard easily sunk the penalty kick behind Manchester United keeper David De Gea to give Liverpool the 1-0 lead in the championship match.

The penalty has to be excruciating for Manchester United after their hot start and missed opportunity when Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez missed a wide open goal off a beautiful cross from a teammate only 5 minutes into the match.
