Sacramento Kings: DeMarcus Cousins aims for fewer technical fouls
By Wes Goldberg
Standing in DeMarcus Cousins’ way has never been a lack of skill or size, but a lack of maturity–or his attitude during games.

Last season, Cousins led the NBA with 16 technical fouls called against him (he was actually tied with Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant). He was ejected once and averaged a league-high 3.8 personal fouls per game.
Boogie was invited to join Team USA in the FIBA World Cup this summer, and played wonderfully. Multiple reports say that he has matured and is ready to become a leader for the Sacramento Kings.
With the Kings getting ready for a new season, one of Cousins’ goals is to limit his technical fouls. As Reggie Evans posted on Instagram, Cousins is aiming at showing substantially more restraint.
"Myboi @boogiecousins goal for this year. 5 Technical this season. I feel like he can do it.Follow"
I was very impressed with Cousins’ performance in the FIBA World Cup. It can be easier to show restraint when you are winning games by 40 points, though, and aren’t locked into one of the more embarrassing teams in the NBA for a full 82 games.
If he can stay on the court and focus his energy into being the best player he can be, Cousins has the talent to be one of the most dominant centers in the game. He just needs that consistency and focus is all. I have faith in you, Boogie.
