The Atlanta Falcons apparently don’t know the different between London and Spain.

In just a few days the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions will square off for yet another international NFL matchup. That’s assuming they can actually make it to London considering they may not know where they’re going or how they’re going to get there.

The NFL’s international play has been a rousing success and it’s likely the league will continue to play abroad, they just have to hope the Atlanta Falcons can make it to their intended destination.

Promoting the game on social media, the Atlanta Falcons posted an image stating that it will take three flights to arrive in London though there are a few logistics problems with that.

First off, the Falcons are flying from Atlanta to Baltimore and will then continue on to London. By my account, that’s only two flights. The third flight will come once the Atlanta Falcons return home. Secondly, the area on the map isn’t exactly London but rather Spain.

Of course it’s likely the graphic was put together in a matter of minutes and nobody was really paying that close of attention to the statistics and locale, though it did come across as a pretty big fail. Also, I’m no pilot (nor did I stay at a special hotel last night) but is there really a need to stop in Baltimore before flying to London? Especially where there are direct flights?
