Former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss has a message for Brock Osweiler.

If the goal was the deal out some “straight talk,” then mission accomplished for former NFL all-pro WR Randy Moss.

When Peyton Manning is on the field, it is generally accepted that back up quarterbacks will rarely, if ever, need to put on their helmets. Tell that to Brock Osweiler.

In the Denver Broncos‘ Sunday beating of the still winless Oakland Raiders, the game was well out of reach by the end of the 3rd quarter. So naturally, with Peyton coming off of his 5th consecutive drive ending in a touchdown pass, one could assume that the team would give their back up a few (somewhat) meaningless reps.

Here is the thing to remember. This is no ordinary team. Essentially, if their quarterback is the offensive coordinator. What does that mean for Osweiler? Well, Randy Moss perfectly sums that up in the following YouTube video.

“Sit your butt down. Greatness is at work, homie.” We here at Fansided try to refrain from the phrase “shots fired.” However, there have seldom been opportunities as good as this one to use it.

Osweiler can rest easy at night though. With the way the team is playing, he could see a decent amount of in-game action in the final week or two of the season, when historically Manning rests if his clubs clinch first round byes. However, if the number one seed is still up for grabs, we could have a repeat of yesterday’s scenario. With the chance at an inside track back to the Super Bowl (and redemption) on the line, something tells us Brock will not care too much.
