Kevin Garnett calls Denver Nuggets quitters
By Dylan Hughes
After the Denver Nuggets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Kevin Garnett said he was surprised they didn’t quit like they did on Brian Shaw.
Following a 100-85 loss to the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves’ veteran power forward Kevin Garnett–who is not afraid to speak his mind–told media he was surprised to see the Nuggets’ players quit like they did on recently fired coach Brian Shaw.
While this shot may seem uncalled for, who says the Nuggets don’t deserve it? When you break the huddle with ‘1-2-3 … six weeks!’, you are kind of asking for some criticizing.
David West, who played under Brian Shaw while he was an assistant with Indiana from 2011-13, had some similar comments towards the Nuggets.
Paul George also had a small remark on Twitter about the Shaw firing.
And these are just the three players that we know of to have these feelings, because I’m sure there are plenty more around the league that are just holding their tongue.
Maybe take some advice here, Nuggets: grow up.
