After the Rams spent the offseason adding pieces to their popgun offense, Sam Bradford enters 2013 as the top breakout candidate in the entire NFL. Unfortunately, he may represent our best case for skepticism. The No. 1 overall pick from the 2010 draft possesses a rare arm but often appears overmatched on an NFL field. He frequently throws at his receivers’ feet and seems befuddled by camouflaged defenses.

By opting for Tavon Austin, the Rams bypassed an opportunity to address their red zone receiving woes and appear to be banking on Brian Quick’s development. St. Louis has built an offense that should thrive between the 20s only to kick a flurry of field goals. You need to project the Rams to 600-plus passing attempts for Bradford or the imminent breakout may be delayed indefinitely.
