Frank Yallop’s Chicago Fire were off this week and will continue their season on June 18 against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the U.S. Open Cup at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT/8:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by Chicago-Fire.com.

After a 40th minute goal by Ryan Finley, Wilmer Cabrera’s Chivas USA lost a penalty shootout to the Carolina RailHawks in the U.S. Open Cup by the score of 1(3)-1(2) at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. Chivas will look to get their act together when they host Real Salt Lake at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. on June 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by MLS LIVE.

Welcome to the doghouse, RSL. Enjoy your stay. Chalk up two straight U.S. Open Cup match defeats for Jeff Cassar’s Real Salt Lake. Robbie Findley scored in the 10th minute, but they were unable to hang on and fell to the Atlanta Silverbacks, 2-1, at Atlanta Silverbacks Park in Atlanta, GA. But one thing’s for sure: Chivas USA is no Atlanta Silverbacks. These two teams clash on June 28 at StubHub Center.
