One player who is stepping up in a big way is Denver Nuggets big man Kenneth Faried. Not only is he making an impact on Team USA at the World Cup but he’s also making Nuggets fans back home in Denver excited for the massive steps forward he is likely to be taking once the NBA season starts.
On one of a handful of excellent plays by Faried in the American’s win over Ukraine on Thursday came when he obliterated a shot by volleyball swatting it into the crowd of onlookers.
Faried is poised to take leaps forward in his game this year with the Nuggets and that’s being displayed in his performances for Team USA this summer. What Faried brings to the table is beyond what was expected of him, and that’s not only something that is making him fun to watch now but will make him dangerous to play against once the NBA season picks up later this year.
