Justin Forsett is Baltimore’s Running Back

If you asked anyone which running back would be “the man” in Baltimore while Ray Rice was out, nobody would have come up with Justin Forsett.

Entering his seventh season in the NFL, the journeyman had carried the ball when needed but nobody looked at him as a lead back. Yet he looked solid against the Cincinnati Bengals defense when he took over after Bernard Pierce coughed the ball up.

It’s hard to imagine that Forsett will suddenly become this All-Pro running back—wouldn’t we have seen it before now?

Then again, it was hard to imagine him having the game we just saw from him as well. With the video footage of Rice (per ProFootballtalk.com) hitting his now-wife surfacing and Pierce in the doghouse, we might see a lot of Forsett this season.
