They may be 2-1 and technically no longer the best team in the AFC, but the Denver Broncos are still the best team in the AFC from a football standpoint. Sure, they lost in Seattle t a defense that is off the charts, and may not be undefeated anymore but the Broncos are still the team to beat in the AFC.

Don’t get it twisted, the Chargers beating the Seahawks establishes them as a force in the conference and within the division but we already knew that about them. Denver and San Diego will meet head-to-head twice this season and the score will be settled then, not in separate meetings against the Seahawks. Denver still has Peyton Manning, still has a deadly receiving corps and opened up the playbook in creative ways on Sunday.

In other words, hitting the panic button on Denver after their loss to Seattle is beyond an overreaction — it’s stupid.
