Miami Heat call Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen ‘2 Checks’ instead of ‘2 Chainz’
By Bryan Rose
Life is pretty good for Miami Heat center, Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen. Not only does the center get to play in South Beach but he’s also bringing in a significant amount of cash.

While Andersen’s contract with the Miami Heat isn’t all that lucrative, the buyout Birdman received from the Denver Nuggets is. In fact, he’s making nearly $9 million dollars this season from the Nuggets despite not playing for the franchise.
That has lead to some of Chris Andersen’s Miami Heat teammates referring to him as ‘2 Checks’, a play off the name of rapper ‘2 Chainz’.
There are a lot of rather questionable nicknames throughout the NBA though this one is actually pretty amusing. Of course, everybody knows Chris Andersen as ‘Birdman’ so the chance of ‘2 Checks’ sticking is slim to none, but that doesn’t make it any less funny.
The only thing that would make this better however is if Birdman decided to rock an over the top gold chains similar to that worn by 2 Chainz. Can’t you just imagine him walking into the arena, wearing a well-tailored suit with a blinging ‘2 Checks’ chain?
It’s doubtful the NBA would be all that amused though we fans would certainly get a kick out of it.
