Facing the Jets and their stout defensive line and the league’s No. 1 rush defense meant the sledding would be tough for Joique Bell and Reggie Bush on the afternoon, but Bush found enough room to lead the team in rushing on the afternoon with 46 yards on 12 carries.
Some of the running room was created by the former Heisman winner who broke out his stiff arm and a nifty spin move to pick up additional yards against the Jets defense.
We have seen Bush use his speed and acceleration in college and in the NFL, but we haven’t seen the former USC and New Orleans Saints back use his power all that often as he did today with this stiff arm.
Probably won’t see a lot of that too often moving forward is my guess.
