The Kansas City Royals are set to play game three of the ALCS and Brandon Finnegan has a new fan in the stadium to watch him.

The Kansas City Royals find themselves in a rather enviable position right now. They are up two games to none over the AL East’s Baltimore Orioles, and they are awaiting three straight home games. Brandon Finnegan, a rookie reliever for Kansas City, decided to let a fan live in the excitement with the team.

Finnegan, the former TCU Horned Frog, has flown through the Royals system and has become somewhat of a secret weapon out of the bullpen in the MLB playoffs. His name was relatively well know before, and since bursting onto the scene, has become even more so.

A Royals fan with a dream of watching his favorite Royals play in the LCS reached out to Finnegan. While not sounding like a pest, the fan shared his dream, and Finnegan made it come true. Check out the conversation:

The fan even offered to pay Finnegan back with dinner, to which Brandon responded in even more of a good guy way:

To end quite a cool exchange, the fan was obviously on top of the world:

In closing, Brandon Finnegan you are the exact type of ballplayer kids look forward to meeting today. At 21 years old, you’re setting an example for plenty of major leaguers much more advanced in age than yourself. Thank you for that.

As far as Nicholas Knapple, way to take a chance, now go enjoy your dream.

Game three of the Orioles and Royals series takes place tonight, with the first pitch scheduled for 8:07 pm est.
