Atlanta Falcons (+7) over Baltimore Ravens

This is a “last stand” situation for the entire Falcons organization. At 2-4. their playoff possibilities have already been virtually dashed, but with a loss here against the Ravens, Atlanta would be 2-5 before traveling to London to play the very talented Lions in a game that could spell the end of the Mike Smith era with the club.

To be quite honest, Baltimore is the better team here. However, the Ravens are prone to inconsistent play, and that is certainly the case with QB Joe Flacco. They were lights-out offensively in dominating Tampa Bay last week, with Atlanta ran out of gas late in an ugly loss to Chicago, but it is tough to trust the Ravens as a touchdown favorite against a talented team.

The Falcons should be able to throw the ball effectively behind their duo of wide receivers, and it will be on Flacco and Baltimore’s offense to cover a large number. I don’t think they will.
