Buffalo Bills quarterback Kyle Orton (sometimes known as Uncle Rico) throws a touchdown after an impressive fake against the New York Jets.

More from Buffalo Bills

It’s been a rough day for the New York Jets who finally decided to give up the ghost on quarterback Geno Smith, firmly planting him on the bench after three first quarter interceptions.

Turning the ball over was not something Buffalo Bills quarterback Kyle Orton was doing in the game, at least early, as he helped give his team the lead with an impressive touchdown pass.

Facing a first and goal on the one-yard line, it looked as if the New York Jets were ready for a run. That’s exactly what the Bills set up, though Kyle Orton gave a nice fake to running back Anthony Dixon who then swung out for a pass.

That left Lee Daniels completely wide open as the New York Jets looked completely lost on coverage.

Had Kyle Orton wanted, he likely could have rolled that ball to Daniels given how poor the coverage was. How do you not have a man on him given everybody is bunched up in a goal line formation?

A strong second quarter from the New York Jets ate into the Buffalo Bills’ rather large lead, though Buffalo has continued their strong play and currently holds a ten-point lead halfway through the third quarter.
